One of the largest industrial auctions in Europe will take place this week in Osnabrück. The inventory of the insolvent steel processing plant of IAG Magnum, including huge lathes, boring mills, a shunting locomotive and a gantry crane, will be auctioned.

The auction catalogue of all equipment and accessories comprises around 850 items that will be up for auction on Wednesday, 5. April, from 10.30 in the Osnabrück Halle. The auctioneering company Lueders & Partner (Hamburg) expects up to 200 bidders from all over the world – and millions in revenue. “We expect an amount in the lower seven-figure range,” says managing director Max Manuel Lueders.

In the absence of comparable events of this caliber in Europe, international customers in particular are showing great interest in the auction. Some delegations, for example from India and Pakistan, had already been to Osnabrück to inspect the former production facilities of IAG Magnum. Some machines had already changed hands, according to Lueders.
